Samilia Afrifa HEAD TEACHER & TEACHER OF GRADES 1 & 2 To motivate my students to enjoy learning, and to use the knowledge acquired to make a significant difference and progress in their lives. Luke International School offers me the opportunity to bring this ambition alive in a purely Christian Setting, which makes much difference in combining knowledge and the right values right from the early stages of Childhood development.

    Teacher of Kindergarden 4

I am very excited to be a part of Luke International School for two reasons. The first reason is for the opportunity to pour the love of God into little people. I enjoy praying into their lives and asking God to help me bring out all that He has imparted to them and asking for the wisdom and understanding to meet each of their individual needs. It is very exciting to see them grow. I love that we can pray with the children and encourage the children with God’s Word. The second reason I am excited to be at LIS is by my personal experience with A Beka. Having taught my own children with this program for many years, I have seen just how wonderful the A Beka program has helped to develop their character and provided them a solid traditional academic foundation. I am excited that Abidjan would have such an opportunity as this and to also be a part of it.

    Teacher of Pre-Nursery

I love seeing the children progress through the year. Watching children learn something new is the most rewarding aspect of my job, whether it’s learning how to tie a shoelace or read a new word. I love watching the children’s eyes light up and how excited they get when they realize they have accomplished something new! I absolutely love my job and find it to be challenging and rewarding each and every day. There is always something new to look forward to and I truly enjoy coming to work each day. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. Psalms 23:1

  • Liliane Owayo

    Teacher of Kindergarten 5

Luke International School has given me an opportunity to work with international students in a safe and Christian environment. I get to inspire, build students self concept, impact knowledge and wisdom, help shape dreams and future of nations and make a lasting difference in students lives. As a teacher I also get to continuously learn and grow. “Start children of on the right way they should go and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

  • Patricia Ajibola Atolagbe

Teacher of Grades 3 and 4

Luke International School is an educational environment whose goal is to build global citizens and dynamic leaders by training the students in maintaining academic excellence and also instilling Christian values as the foundation, using the A Beka curriculum. It is such an honor to be part of this community and vision. We all work together to make certain this goal is achieved. So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic. Isaiah 28:16 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11

Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning. Proverbs 9:9

  • Liliane Eloi Vlehi

    Teacher of French

I am adept at the art of language therefore, teaching French at Luke International school is a privilege and a marvelous challenge to help children from different linguistic backgrounds discover and love the French language through the subtleties and appreciate the beauty of its spoken and written forms. This is a wonderful opportunity to share my 11 years of experience in several different leveled class environments as a French teacher. Thus, by combining learning and fun, I’ll do my utmost to make this goal a success for students’ academic and social well-being.
